We must understand that God does not give us options to choose from according to our own preferences. He gives us instructions. Look for the idea that carries the most conviction. Look for the one that has the power to transform a specific group of people you are called to serve right now.
Decision Is a Sacrifice
Decision is not about picking the perfect idea. It is about cutting off every other option so you can give your full "yes" to the one that matters. The Latin root of the word "decide" means to cut off. To choose one idea is to intentionally kill the others for this season. This is where most creatives struggle. They want to work on all their ideas at once, but in doing so, they have many unfinished products and no true evidence of their obedience. You do not need to act on ten ideas. You need one yes to one idea.
Anointing rests on obedience, not on your ability to multitask multiple visions. If you try to write three books at once, you will finish none of them. You will find yourself busy but not productive. You will be successful in the eyes of the world while remaining spiritually misaligned because you are doing everything except the one thing God asked of you. Decision is an act of spiritual warfare. It ends the paralysis of choice and forces you to move in the direction of your call.
Many of you are waiting for a lightning bolt to tell you which path to take. You are waiting for a sign when God has already given you a sense of peace about a specific message. You do not need more information. You need more courage to let go of the other nine ideas. They aren't going away forever. God is the steward of your creativity. If an idea is truly from Him, it will be there when this assignment is finished.
